Monday, 24th October

  • From 1 to 1.30pm, donation of the ATI-Novatica collection to the EIMT-UOC.

  • From 1.30 to 2.30pm, "Llull as computer scientist, or why Llull was one of us", by professor Ton Sales, Faculty of Computer Science of Barcelona, UPC.

Tuesday, 25th October

  • From 11am to 2pm, the UOC UNESCO Chair in E-Learning will once again be giving the Open Education Resources (OER) workshop. Led by: Julià Minguillón.

    At this workshop aimed at UOC teaching and administration staff, we will explain what the open educational resources (OER) movement is, we will look at the most important aspects to consider and we will speak of the licences available for publishing open teaching material. We will end the workshop with a practical session, uploading teaching materials to the UOC institutional repository. Some of the subjects that will be covered are available to read in the collection of open resources on OER in the UOC institutional repository. http://hdl.handle.net/10609/7022.

Friday, 28th October

  • At 9.30am closing talk "Cooperation and Game theory, the Open source software or the #15m movement, two examples for universities" by Josep Jover, lawyer, auditor and conflict manager specialising in copyright and copyleft, intellectual property and digital canon. Advocate in the case "Padawan vs SGAE", by which the european court has outlawed the Spanish digital canon, as well as the one who has made possible the detention and imputation of the SGAE leaders.
