The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya take part again in the International Open Access Week organised by the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC), the aim of which was to raise awareness within the scientific community of the advantages of publishing in open access.

In 2012, the UOC join again the initiative and have done extensive information about open access and open education resources (OER).
