DIGITHUM, humanities in the digital age, humanities in the digital age, as you know, began a new era with the previous issue, debuting a renovated format, systematising the aims and lines of activity and recuperating the publication of a monographic dossier as the axis for each issue.

We are now taking further steps to consolidate the structure (advisors and editorial boards) and the peer review procedures, which are now fully operational, whilst the continual formal improvements have also borne fruit. We are proud of the fact that a recent report from the Centro de Información y Documentación Científica placed DIGITHUM in fifth place in an exhaustive list of Spanish e-journals in terms of complying with its quality requirements.

With regard to the contents, both the level and variety of the collaborations to date, part of the process of continual improvement, have seen the journal included in a number of directories (scientific journal, library and general directories), both here and abroad, web pages and subject directories, and the main internet search engines, from amongst which we would highlight our inclusion in Latindex and DOAJ. This news is not only a reflection of the efforts made and a source of real pride, but is also of great interest to our readers and, above all, for those who put forward their work for publication.

We are in the midst of preparing the paperwork for the AGAUR (DURSI), the autnomous government of Catalonia’s university and research grant awarding body, in order to apply for the incorporation of the journal into the CARHUS lists, based on reports that we have commissioned from a number of independent figures with experience in the field of scientific dissemination and the digital world, reports that have been unanimously positive.

This issue of the journal has a dossier which has been coordinated by Dr Glòria Munilla on the subject of "Cultural Management, a New Discipline?"; as well as a series of articles on aspects ranging from technology in training geographers, troubadour love and chats, or the campaign to gain the .cat domain, to the use of internet searches as a tool to correct grammar.

We hope that you find everything on offer to be of interest.
