The specialist course on On-line medical imaging is part of the postgraduate in Application of ICTs to clinical practice, included in the Master's in Telemedicine.
ICTs – particularly IT and the Internet – are progressing in giant leaps, changing the perspective of our everyday lives both in the workplace and in our free time. These changes are also applicable to health services, in which the introduction of ICTs is allowing the diverse services to work more closely and as a unit. They can also improve access to care, regardless of geographical location.
Given the introduction of ICTs in medical practice, this specialist course aims to introduce students to critical reflection on the use of digital medical imaging in medical care in general and telediagnosis in particular.
The specialist course on On-line medical imaging is a vocational course designed and structured as an academic itinerary, which means that students can enrol in their own time, in accordance with their personal interests and the time they have available for study. It also facilitates access to qualification in line with the choices of the individual student.
