The aim of this Master's course is to introduce professionals to the field of healthcare organisation management with a strong focus on hospitals. With this Master's, professionals will obtain an exhaustive knowledge of the real situation of the healthcare sector in aspects of planning, financing, insurance and provision of healthcare services.
Professionals with extensive experience in the sector will provide students with comprehensive information on both clinical processes and the support taking place in hospitals; this will be supplemented by theoretical developments, management tools, the exchange of opinions and an on-site presence in any of these departments in hospitals of the network approved by the UOC for its Health programmes.
At the end of this Master's course, students will have the training to apply for management positions in health organisations, which will need to mature with the daily experience of the latter.
This Master's course consists of two postgraduates. The first, which we will call Macromanagement of healthcare services, deals with the healthcare environment affecting the management of healthcare organisations, such as the National Health System, the health economy, financing and healthcare expenses, and the management tools for organisations and managerial development. The second postgraduate, Management of healthcare organisations, is more specific and deals with the management processes of hospitals, such as financial management, HR management, the management of clinical services and support, and the management of quality and information systems.
For those who wish, there is the option of carrying out the end-of-course project in hospitals of the network of hospitals associated with the UOC.
