We live in a time in which virtually every aspect of our lives is affected by audio-visuality. In the Youtube era, we need to take a new approach to the possibilities available to us for devising, creating and diffusing audio-visual content. Information and communication technologies act as tools to stimulate the emergence of new talent, an essential condition for innovation. And this innovation no longer comes solely from the audio-visual industry, but also from the creative activity of individuals and groups that have shown particular talent in making the most of an enormous and growing series of tools and techniques that are increasingly within the reach of the masses.

 

The map of international audio-visual innovation takes the form of intensive processes of dialogue, negotiation and exchange between independent creation and the industry. The aim of this postgraduate course, designed by the UOC in conjunction with the Digitalent foundation is precisely to accompany students in this field, which we consider essential in the formation of professionals seeking to develop their talents in the audio-visual communication industry and other sectors where audio-visuals play an increasingly important role, such as education or the ICT sector. Hence, although designed specifically with graduates of communication in mind, this course is open to other profiles as it constitutes a flexible offer that can be adapted to student interests.



This postgraduate training gives students the skills to identify innovative trends in the creation of audio-visual content, both in relation to commercial products and to those carried out independently. Students will obtain in-depth knowledge of emerging industrial strategies, specifically the conceptualising, development, marketing and diffusion of innovative projects, taking into account new scenarios for audio-visual production and relevant legal and social issues. They will also develop the skills needed to apply creative solutions and collaborate with others by experimenting with on-line audio-visual creation tools and platforms on specific projects. Lastly, students will learn to conceptualise and manage the development of cross-platform audio-visual projects, taking into account the multidisciplinary nature of this type of product.
