In today's world, it is essential to have the widest possible knowledge about the differences and similarities in the behaviour of people from different co-cultures within the same cultural group and also about the differences and similarities in the behaviour of people from different nations, as well as to have the right tools for managing communication effectively.
In inter-personal communication, it has been shown that the group factor is as influential or even more influential than personal characteristics. An understanding of the studies, the theories and conclusions that explain this is a valuable tool for any person working in areas in which communication between people and between the members of different social and cultural groups is an important part of their work. This includes the business environment – both at the management and staff levels –, the diplomatic and political sphere, education and social work etc. The aim of this programme is to provide students with the skills to create effective interaction between different parties in negotiations, mediation and spokesperson activities.
