The emergence of the Internet has changed the standards for measuring visibility and audience in the media and, therefore, the marketing strategies of companies in general. The media, the media-related companies and businesses that advertise their image and products through the media, need to combine their efforts to become visible as new trends in today's information society emerge.
The basic objectives to be addressed in the Postgraduate Programme ‘Media & Web Impact: Strategies for Visibility and Audience' are:
1) How to measure qualitatively and quantitatively the impact of communication in its various forms in media, web and advertising? What are the legal and ethical limits of this practice and what media, business and resources are involved?
2) What are the strategies to gain audience and visibility in the media and on the Internet?
