This specialisation in "Law, spirituality and morality in Islam" is based on the key aspects of Islamic studies: knowledge of the standards, values and rules that govern social and human relations in Muslim society. The course will describe how Islam is both a religion and a code of life and puts forward moral, ethical and social standards, based on the founding texts and their developments, to resolve the conflicts and tensions that affect any society. As a doctrine, the aim is to reveal the bases it uses to respond to the will to humanise, socialise and seek balance, coordination and coherence between the different dimensions of life. The specialisation offers a view of Islamic law in all its variants: legal, moral and economic. It uses a transdisciplinary approach encompassing law, theology and economics that takes into account the global vision of Islam as a religion, culture and social way of life.
This specialisation is open to all professional publics: educators, social actors and researchers in social sciences and humanities, businessmen and women, financial agents, banking professions, lawyers, judges, journalists and diplomats.
