The concept of Agri-business System is undergoing continual transformation and has been interpreted in various ways since it was formulated for the first time towards the end of the 1950s. In the 21st century we are facing a different reality: globalisation trends have not created a consumer market with homogenous tastes or even similar tastes. Similarly, health worries associated with environmental awareness have given rise to a group that consumes ecological products and also wants more healthy and natural products; this is creating more ethical and responsible relationships in the production and consumption of food products.
This postgraduate programme is mainly intended to provide a historic overview of the concept of sustainability and its global application in order to create an understanding of how we have arrived at a global situation in which ecological agriculture is being discussed and promoted following on from the green revolution and the use of intensive agriculture. Students will subsequently be taking an in-depth look at advanced commercialisation and promotion techniques for agro-ecological products.
This programme has particularly been designed for people wanting to specialise in the agri-business sector from a sustainable perspective, particularly focusing on the perspective of agriculture and its socio-economic effects from a practical perspective.
