Programme
The Master in Food, Society and International Food Governance is made up of two mandatory Specialisations, two elective Specialisations and a Final Research Project.
The two mandatory Specialisations are:
1. Food Systems Analysis
2. International Agri-Food Policy
You may then select two from:
1. Food and Society
2. Food Regulation (with Michigan State University’s Institute for Food Law and Regulation)*
3. Food Security: Assessment and Action (with FAO)
4. Impact Assessment of Security Programmes (with FAO)
5. Understanding the Right to Food (with FAO)
• Note that if you choose to take the Food Regulation Specialisation, you will be taking courses through MSU’s Online Campus. The MSU calendar is not in line with the UOC’s.
• If you opt to take the Specialisation in Food Regulation and the Specialisation in Food Security: Assessment and Action, you will earn 3 extra ECTS credits, meaning you will graduate with 63 ECTS credits as opposed to 60 ECTS credits.
