The complex nature of today's urban reality calls for tools to suit the new challenges and opportunities. This postgraduate course attempts to update our knowledge of land organisation and management using a multidisciplinary, cross-cutting approach. We need to apply new management and planning formulas to identify the new social and economic dynamics and the transformations that these generate on the land.
Hence, the aim of the postgraduate course on Land management is to raise awareness of management mechanisms for urban land today. These include the management and planning of infrastructure, key elements of modern land planning, the new forms of land management, housing, the public space and major projects, but we should not overlook the management of transport and mobility, the environment… if we are to think, plan and intervene efficiently, sustainably and fairly in the city of the 21st century.
On completion of the postgraduate, students will have the skills to work in public or private agencies in management, the planning of infrastructure networks, new city projects and renewal of the urban space with the new instruments of land planning.
