The Postgraduate Programme in Social Entrepreneurship provides a knowledge base for the new generation of social entrepreneurs in our country and provides a roadmap for innovation and entrepreneurship in the social sector and for the consolidating, growing and scaling up of social initiatives in a globalised world.
It is aimed a t people who dream of improving the lives of the most disadvantaged sectors and making our planet a better place to live. Those who are aware that our world needs great change and who are prepared to confront the challenges we are facing, people who already have experience in the sector. This course will provide you with the concepts and practical tools needed to free your creativity in the social sector, to innovate and to structure your ideas, to assess whether they are opportunities and to see them through.
In a few short years social entrepreneurship has gone from being just an idea to a growing reality, bringing improved quality of life to many people and confronting some of the most pointed and urgent problems of our age from an innovative entrepreneurial viewpoint, applying entrepreneurial practices to the foundation and management of organisations and enterprises that create social and financial value.
Using a practical approach based on case studies, the programme takes an in-depth look into essential issues for the success of social enterprises such as measuring social impact, new collaborative relationships, social innovation management and possible finance routes.
Further into the programme students will develop new skills and capabilities that can be applied in your own social projects through the creation of a social business plan or social programme applied to the company or institution that participants come from with the assistance of a tutor. The discussion forum for the exchange of experience and knowledge is also a very useful tool for developing a network of relationships that can last a lifetime.
