In our increasingly interconnected socio-economic environment, which depends on the excellent management of information and knowledge, information and communication technologies (ICTs) are a key factor in the competitiveness of companies and their ability to hold on to their market position.
A dynamic and efficient organisation does not simply invest in technology, it also analyses its needs, purchases and implements the most appropriate technology system for the latter and manages it in such a way that the experience and information handled by the organisation become a source of useful knowledge for its progress.
The management staff and professionals of businesses, together with their clients, suppliers and competitors, are facing a more generic and global framework: the information society. It is vital to be familiar with the policies of this information society and their interrelation with culture, economics, education, etc. in order to deal successfully with strategies for business growth and their technological implementation.
Hence, the UOC's Postgraduate Training has designed this Specialist Corporate Information Systems Course to produce professionals who wish to successfully master the management and implementation of ICTs in their organisation and understand the environment of the information society in which they do business.
