This specialist course begins with the study of the elements, factors and processes that constitute the tourism industry and the structure of the tourism system and tourist destinations before shifting its focus to the analysis of the instruments available to destination managers for their implementation in the framework of a sustainable tourism policy.
The WTO specialist course. Sustainable management of tourist destinations has been designed for professionals from the public sector whose work is carried out in federations, on tourist councils or at tourist initiative centres, provincial tourist delegations, government tourism departments, Spanish tourism offices abroad and municipal or provincial tourist boards.
It is also aimed at professionals of private sector tourism whose activities have a direct relationship with the government policies and guidelines adopted for the management and planning of tourist destinations.
