Pastora Martínez, the UOC's Vice President for Globalization and Cooperation, has been named among the European University Association's (EUA) group of experts on Science 2.0/Open Science, acting as a representative for Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE). The group will be meeting in Brussels on 26 and 27 September.

The experts have been given the task of making recommendations, drafting papers and interacting with a wide range of stakeholders. Key areas the working group are to define include open access to research publications and data, data mining, data protection rules, human resources and skills, citizen science, as well as other matters relating to the EU's Digital Agenda.

The EUA is an organization that represents a network of universities and national rectors' conferences in 47 European countries.
