The eLC offers a Learning Analytics data recovery and processing service for educational research, improvement and innovation, which includes information from 2007 onwards, and provides the big data treatment tools required to explore it. It focuses on:

  • Support for experiments in e-learning.
    • This service includes the integration of tools, web services and learning resources within the UOC's educational environment and learning analytics mechanisms to ensure that data are collected during the pilot phase. It also allows experiments to be set up and conducted on other platforms and in educational environments other than the UOC's, providing that the results of these projects can be used by or affect the UOC.

  • Support for the use of data for research and teaching purposes.
    • The Learning Analytics* research and teaching database has included this information since 2007 and provides the big data treatment tools required to explore it. This service is aimed at:
      • Researchers who need information about the UOC's educational space for their own research work.
      • Faculty who wish to experiment and evolve/improve courses, programmes or bachelor's degrees for which they are responsible.

  • Technology advisory system in the field of e-learning.
    • As learning technology experts, by developing this field and integrating and putting tools and services into operation in the cloud that can be used in e-learning, we offer advice for innovation and applied research projects in e-learning.
