Abstract:

This thesis researches creative work, which is often polarized between precarious material conditions and a passionate disposition. There is the possibility that the appeal of the positive aspects renders somehow more acceptable -or even normalizes- the negative conditions, the balance between the two being founded on a series of mystifying discourses on art based on romanticism, the avant-garde, autonomy of art and the theories of creativity. Concepts like genius, talent, bohemia, game, pleasure, expression, freedom, autonomy, and their counterparts risk, motivation, entrepreneurship, resignation, as well as material conditions like precarity, pressure at work or the entrepreneur regulations and the creativity policies shape a series of dispositifs that have their roots on an art mystifying discourse.
