How to study at the UOC

At the UOC, you are the focus for the educational model and the learning process.

The counsellor will guide and advise you through your studies and help you plan your rhythm and design your own curricular pathway.

The Campus provides access to the virtual classrooms where the learning takes places and where you can find your lecturers, classmates, contents, activities and the communication tools needed to study and learn.

You also have the Virtual Secretary’s Office, a wide range of services and forums for interrelation and tools to communicate with your lecturers and classmates.

    This is where you can get personalised responses to your doubts. You can send your queries via the web form or the two Twitter accounts: de Twitter UOCestudiant and UOCestudiante.

    This offers access to all the content and tools needed for your learning via the classroom, Virtual Library and My materials.

  • Regional network

    Regional network
    The UOC’s centres and points act as meeting points for the university community. You can take part in the activities, connect with other students and graduates, receive information on the UOC’s programmes or carry out academic procedures.

    There are job offers and internships, and advice on finding work.

  • News service

    News service
    The News section keeps you up to date on everything going on at the university. You can also subscribe to the different newsletters.

  • Student card

    This card provides students with access to benefits from bodies and companies, and to loans from libraries that the UOC has signed agreements with.

The Virtual Secretary's Office

  • The Virtual Secretary’s Office lets you consult and manage all the academic procedures, including enrolment, the methods of payment and discounts available, your academic file, grants, your marks or the assessment of your prior studies.

    You can also consult the academic calendar and the university’s regulations..

The Campus provides you with tools and forums to interrelate and share experiences with your classmates, including:

Set up, coordinate or take part in one of the more than 373 active forums on academic, professional or leisure activities.

Commissions
Get involved in improving the UOC by forming part of the one of the Campus, departmental or regional centre commissions.

Ask for and offer help on any questions relating to life at the university.

Enter the Virtual Secretary’s Office and find out about the steps you need to take. Remember that:

  • Former students can sign up for courses at discounted rates.
  • If you want to study an official course for the first time, you need to present the necessary admissions documentation.
  • If you want to continue studies you began in the past, you need to check whether the course is being phased out and the deadlines for adaptation to the EHEA.
