Careers paths

  • Language animator or planner: drafting an action programme to act on the language situation in a specific environment on the basis of diagnostic and assessment tools.

  • Multilingualism manager: promotion of the use of different languages equally in various social and professional environments.

  • Reading club leader: promotion of reading and animation of reading groups to create an environment of reflection and an arena for expression that fosters the socialisation of participants.

  • Mediator in the socio-educational field: expert who attends and arbitrates conflicts based on a series of negotiation and dialogue fostering techniques between the parties.

  • Language mediator in various social environments: expert who fosters the integration of immigrants in the host societies from the point of view of communicative intervention.

  • Employment integration guidance counsellor: expert who offers guidance in techniques in writing in the appropriate and necessary text genres for submitting a job application.

  • Workshop designer, organiser and leader: design of highly practical single-subject short courses, often given in municipal facilities, aimed at people with a range of profiles and in a range of subjects.

Complementary and specialisation training

A degree in Catalan Language and Literature gives graduates the essential skills they will need to work in these professions. However, in most cases complementary postgraduate training is recommended or even required.
