Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications
Who we are

The team roles of UOC’s Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications are as follows: 

  • Faculty is responsible for the academic management of the educational programmes offered at the UOC, which involves designing, planning and assessing the education offered. Faculty is also responsible for coordinating the counsellors and tutors who take part in the running of the courses, accompanying and guiding students in their learning, and assuring learning objectives are met.

    UOC’s Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications have a total of 55 lectures, who work full-time at UOC, are active in research and have a wide experience in their teaching area.

  • Counsellors provide students with academic support on all studies-related matters, help them integrate into the University community and give them career advice when they finish their studies. Counsellors are coordinated by the programme director.
     
  • Course instructors develop their teaching in the context of a course, where they stimulate, solve doubts and assess a group of students within the classroom.

    Counsellors and course instructors hold a degree and have teaching and/or professional experience in the field they are collaborating with.

  • Management staff provides support to the Studies management, programme directors and faculty in order to ensure the proper functioning of the programmes.
