The UOC is an innovative university by nature and through conviction, taking up innovation as an identifying feature cutting across all its activities and processes. Innovation forms part of the plan of the objectives of the different departments and areas making up its structure. The UOC promotes it through strategic projects and through periodic grant application procedures which bring out projects with impact on its teaching or management activities. The institution provides an environment where these ideas emerge and are collected and provides the resources necessary to shape, develop and evaluate them. The University also ensures that the necessary mechanisms for publicising, continuing and developing them are provided.
