An international event where a selection of the University's research will be showcased

Between 18 and 22 April, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) will be holding UOC Research Week 2016 -more details to be announced soon-, an international event whose aims include raising the profile of the University's research and innovation work. To achieve this aim, the Research and Doctoral Committee will be selecting 20 UOC research and innovation works from the ones submitted to this call. Work may be submitted by all UOC staff, including collaborating teaching staff, by completing the following form by 1 March. The criteria for selecting the work will be its scientific quality and the interdisciplinary nature of the scientific output, and the diversity of subject areas will be taken into consideration.

Call for papers

To submit work for evaluation for it to be presented at UOC Research Week, it must have been published between 1 January 2015 and 31 December 2015 and it should have institutional affiliation with the UOC. Specifically, the type of science documents eligible for submission are: original articles, reviews and proceeding papers indexed on ISI WoS and/or Scopus, and book chapters and books published with publishers that appear in SPI-Scholarly Publishers Indicators and/or ISI Master Book List.

Articles will also be taken into consideration from the fields of the humanities and social sciences if they are listed in other databases, such as ERIH PlusDICE-CINDOC, MIAR, CARHUS +, CIRC or FECYT-accredited journals.

The selection of the work by the Research and Doctoral Committee, which will be presented at the event, will be made on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Their scientific quality.
  • The interdisciplinary nature of the scientific output.
  • The diversity of subject areas.

To submit work, you should use the following form, which includes, among other criteria, that the abstracts must be in English and that they should be a maximum of 250 words, making sure to send it by the deadline of 1 March.
