The UOC is looking for creative entrepreneurs from the education sector to help them get their projects into the market

The EduTECH Emprèn call is open, a pioneering accelerator programme to promote projects in the e-learning sector

Are you an entrepreneur with a business idea that could change the way we learn? With EduTECH Emprèn you can make your plan come true. Take part in the UOC's e-learning business accelerator programme and reap the benefits of the knowledge offered to you by the world's first online university and its more than 20 years' experience in the sector. EduTECH Emprèn projects

Your project should innovate in the field of learning and new technologies in any of its facets – from educational methodology and motivation to management and administration – and it can be based on such diverse technologies as learning management systems (LMS-Social LMS), learning analytics, smart contents, gamification and serious games), adaptive learning, devices (Internet of things – IoT, personal devices – BYOD, portable technologies, wearables), immersive technologies (such as RA-RV-360º video), communities of practice and e-commerce.

The accelerator programme

EduTECH Emprèn provides support to projects in the development of their prototype or service, the definition of the business model and the start-up of businesses or entrepreneurial initiatives in the education and ICT sector with high growth potential.

The programme lasts five months and comprises two phases, with 150 hours of training and 20 hours of tutoring per project, which will run between February and June 2017, taught at the UOC centres (and broadcast live) by experts from the UOC and other institutions in the sector.
