The UOC opens an extraordinary call for a postdoctoral research stay

31/01/2017
To join the Internet Computing & System Optimization (ICSO) research group

With the aim of fostering research stays at the UOC for doctoral teaching and research staff, the UOC is opening an extraordinary call for one place – with a duration until 31 May 2019 – in the Internet Computing & System Optimization (ICSO) research group, assigned to the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3). The deadline for applications is 15 February.

Conditions

Those interested in applying need to take into account that research staff with postdoctoral contracts at the UOC have to dedicate themselves exclusively to the UOC and, thus, cannot have contractual or statutory links that might affect their exclusive dedication to the research. Under no circumstances can those benefiting from these contracts have been contracted by the UOC in the two years immediately leading up to the publication of this call for applications.

Likewise, candidates must have obtained their doctoral degree after 1 January 2009 and before the deadline for applications.

Being awarded one of these grants requires the signing of a postdoctoral employment contract for a year – extendible up to 31 May 2019 – for 30,000 euros gross per annum, which will be subject to the withholdings established in the current legislation.

The deadline for submitting applications and the corresponding documentation is 15 February. The name of the selected candidate will be made known from 27 February. The successful candidate will be notified by email at the address indicated in the application and the results will be published in the Research and Innovation section of the UOC portal.

The postdoctoral contract will come into force once the call has been closed and the candidate has sent the documentation required for the labour contract.
