A MOOC endorsed by over 400 participants

The D-TRANSFORM: University Strategies in the Digital Age MOOC (massive online open course), which was pioneered by the D-Transform EU project with the help of the UOC, has been launched for the 5th time this summer. It is a free training course that participants can join even after it has begun, and the course contents can be accessed at any time.

It aims to raise awareness about strategic use of digital resources to transform universities, and focuses, in particular, on the teaching and learning processes. The course looks at models for opening up higher education; open educational resources (OERs) and MOOCs as factors for innovation; academic libraries and digitized learning spaces; assessment and credits in a technology-enhanced context; learning analytics, and overcoming academic resistance to teaching with ICTs, among other issues. The MOOC encourages reflection on practical challenges and offers opportunities for networking in a non-formal context.

The course is designed for university presidents, vice presidents, online learning managers, deans, directors and any other professional interested in digital strategy for universities.

Both Marta Aymerich, Vice President for Strategic Planning and Research, and Josep A. Planell, the UOC's president, formed part of the team of experts interviewed for the MOOC's learning resources.
