Inaugural lecture 2016-2017

The keys to being an entrepreneur, by Israel Ruiz

We set off in the 2016/2017 academic year with the inaugural lecture, a chance for us all to reflect on what is happening all around us and to share experiences, expectations and challenges. This year the Lecture has gone to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, from where Israel Ruiz talks to us about entrepreneurship and explains 10 keys that anyone wanting to launch a project should bear in mind.

This year’s lecture was proposed by the UOC’s Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications, which supports entrepreneurship as a viable future path for its students. This is evidenced by many final degree projects, a number of which have gone on to become success stories. On the occasion of the inaugural lecture, some of these entrepreneurs have told us about their experiences on the Faculty’s blog.

You too can take part in the discussion on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #UOCinaugural.
