Code of Ethics

With the aim of improving the fulfilment of its goals, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC) has decided to commit to a series of values, principles and standards that should inspire the conduct of the members of our University.
The code of ethics is not a legal regulation but a collection of moral standards and principles that should guide the coexistence between the different people and groups in the University.

The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC) Board of Ethics, created by the University’s Governing Council, works on behalf of the academic community and research staff in order to guarantee that people’s dignity is respected in the research projects developed at the University.
Services for people with disabilities

Since its beginnings, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC) has been committed to the social inclusion of people with disabilities, and it therefore seeks to provide accessibility to the university for anyone who wants to be part of the various groups in our community (students, temporary lecturers, teaching staff and administration staff).
Equality

The UOC'S Equal Opportunities Committee is charged to promote measures geared to the entire university community learning to recognise and appreciate gender-based differences, and to endeavour to alter organisational, teaching and research-related practices that prevent the manifestation of such diversity.
The Gender Equality Plan is a systematic range of measures and an instrument for making progress in terms of promoting careers in equal conditions.
Campus for Peace

We are a university for NGOs, a socially conscious initiative by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC), a pioneering institution and leader in e-learning that was founded in 1994.
The Campus for Peace was created with a view to contributing to peace and solidarity with disadvantaged peoples and societies and promoting development cooperation, humanitarian aid and sustainability.
