What are the Gender Equality Plan's lines of action?

  • Consolidating gender equality policies: through its governing bodies, the University must make a commitment to laying the foundations for effective gender equality policies in all areas.
  • Raising awareness and the profile of gender inequalities: the UOC should promote and convey an institutional image that shows its commitment to gender equality and non-discrimination.
  • Avoiding sexism in communications: the UOC must ensure its communications and publications do not contain sexist images.
  • Promoting a gender perspective in teaching and research content: materials for generating and spreading knowledge must take gender equality into account in a cross-disciplinary manner.
  • Achieving a balanced gender representation in the UOC’s decision-making bodies at all levels: women must be able to participate, on an equal footing with men, in all the University’s advisory and decision-making processes.
  • Promoting equal opportunities in teaching staff composition and academic activities: the UOC must encourage parity within the teaching staff in each department and professional category, and aim to ensure the visibility of women’s contributions.
  • Promoting access to jobs and career development opportunities: the UOC must take the necessary measures to reduce gender inequalities in terms of access to all staff positions and the practice of their professions.
  • Organizing working conditions with a gender perspective: the UOC must foster conditions conducive to facilitating a balance between personal, work and family life for the entire university community, and strive to eliminate all gender-based discrimination.
