Competing Language Ideologies in the Global Arena

Monica Heller, from the University of Toronto, Canada, is to give a lecture on how the new global economy has changed the role of languages. Competing Language Ideologies in the Global Arena is the fourth lecture on multilingualism organised by the Linguamón-UOC Chair in Multilingualism in 2008.
As the lecture is to be given in English, a simultaneous interpretation service into Catalan is to be offered. Entry is free, but numbers are limited due to the size of the venue.
