Given by Professor John Edwards, doctor of psychology at the St. Francis Xavier University of Nova Scotia (Canada).

Professor Edwards has focused his research on the relationship between language and identity of groups. His field of study has passed from being psycholinguistic (with specific attention on the manner in which infants learn languages) to a discipline named "sociology of language", which views language as an indicator of a particular aspect of individual or group identity, –how people and groups define themselves.
