Internationalisation

The International Graduate Institute is constantly seeking new ways to internationalise the range of programmes offered at the UOC.

One of the lines it has pursued to this end has been to forge international partnerships, especially in Latin America. As a result, it has opened offices in Mexico and signed partnership and other agreements with several universities and academic institutions in the region, including in: Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, the Dominican Republic, etc. At the same time, the IIP has expanded its network of partnerships in the rest of the world, too.

At present, more than 30% of our students are from outside Spain. They come from nearly 47 different countries, mainly in Europe and the Americas.

The creation of the first English-language master's programmes and the proposals for multilingual programmes are just the first step on the long path to ensure that any student, regardless of nationality or language, can enrol in our programmes without the need to leave his or her country.

The UOC's methodology allows us to offer our programmes to the entire world and achieve the dream of becoming a truly international and multilingual university, where language is no obstacle and students from around the globe can coexist and interact.
