President and Vice-presidents
- The President is the
highest authority of the University, and he or she, therefore, has the maximum
responsibility for its representation and governing.
- The President is nominated by the Board of Trustees of the FUOC, with the approval of the
Council of the Foundation; his or her nomination and removal from office must be ratified by the
Generalitat de Catalunya.
- The President presides over the Governing Council and any other government body of the
University which he or she attends.
- The President is assisted by the Vice-presidents (in the number determined by him or her). The
nomination, assignation of functions and removal from office of Vice-presidents corresponds to the
President.
- If the President is absent, off sick or indisposed, his or her functions will be temporarily
assumed by the Vice-president whom the President has delegated the task or, if not available, by
the eldest Vice-president.
- The Vice-presidents are members with full powers on the Governing Council.
