The UOC now has the Erasmus University Charter
[27/07/2007]
The Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission has awarded the Erasmus University Charter to the Open University of Catalonia. With this document, the UOC can receive Erasmus students and, vice versa, the University's students can go on Erasmus placements abroad, providing that the UOC applies to the European Commission for the necessary subsidies. This charter also allows the UOC to submit projects in all European programmes that require the Erasmus University Charter.
The Erasmus University Charter establishes the minimum requirements that European Institutions
of Higher Education have to meet if they want to follow the Erasmus programme. Thanks to this
charter, the institutions can be part of lecturer and student mobility in different countries and
participate in the network cooperation project with other European institutions. The UOC applied
for the Erasmus University Charter in February 2007, which was awarded to it this July.
