The University to hold an international seminar on e-learning competencies
[12/03/2008]
The competencies and roles required of professionals working in e-learning is the focal point for the international seminar to be held at the UOC on Thursday, March 13.

The International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (IBSTPI), in collaboration with the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya’s (Open University of Catalonia, UOC) Psychology and Educational Sciences Department and International Graduate Institute, is to organise a seminar at the University’s headquarters under the title: Competencies for professionals working in learning environments: A perspective from different actors.

This seminar looks to present and foster discussion on the competencies that the different actors involved in virtual learning and teaching environments need; ie, teachers, trainers, tutors and counsellors, programme and course teaching designers, education managers and directors, educational project assessors and students. The session is designed for anyone linked to or interested in finding out about the competencies of some of the roles described and for all those interested in their professional application or research.

The seminar is to take place in the Josep Laporte room at the UOC’s headquarters (Av. Tibidabo, 39-41) from 9.30 am onwards.
