Revista de Universidad y Sociedad del Conocimiento (University and Knowledge Society
Journal, RUSC) issue is now available on this website with a monograph dedicated to “The
Economics of E-Learning”. A number of experts have collaborated in this special issue,
looking at the subject from a range of different points of view. Thus, the reader can find an
introduction to the economics of e-learning, learn more about the impact of ICT on higher education
students’ performance or find out about the links between distance education and the
employment market.
Alongside the monograph, the journal also includes articles on other subjects, such as the
links between intellectual property and knowledge management at universities by Aurora Anzola,
Concetta Esposito and Nelly Cuenca, knowledge production and management at the University of the
Andes, Venezuela, by Haydeé Rincón and Margally Briceño or an analysis of the move from the
multilingual to the multicultural virtual classroom by Lourdes Salomón, Ana María Delgado and
Rafael Oliver.
RUSC
RUSC is a free e-journal that is published twice a year. It aims to make available to a wider
audience analysis and research work in fields such as university leadership in the knowledge
society, change management in these institutions using e-learning, excellence and quality in
e-learning, and new educational models and teaching profiles, among others. A publication of the
UOC’s UNESCO Chair in E-Learning, the journal’s main language is Spanish and English,
though articles may also appear in Catalan or Portuguese. Although RUSC comes out twice a year, it
is periodically updated with the publication of new peer-reviewed articles.
