Development, education and training in Ghana

The President of the UOC, Imma Tubella, is to take part in the Third ICT for Development, Education and Training Conference, eLearning Africa 2008, taking place in Accra, Ghana, from May 28 to 30, 2008.
The President of the UOC, Imma Tubella, is to take part in the Third ICT for Development, Education and Training Conference, eLearning Africa 2008, taking place in Accra, Ghana, from May 28 to 30, 2008.
The President is to meet a number of African university administrators at the conference in order to explore the possibility of collaboration with institutions in Africa with regard to development of e-learning and higher education.
The President is to offer a talk on Thursday, May 29, entitled “The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya: Sharing our Experience, Ready for new Challenges” as part of the session on “Virtual Universities Supporting Real Cooperation”. This session also involves participation from the Rector of the African Virtual University, a professor from the Open University of Malaysia and a representative from Canada’s Lyceum Group.
