Learn to travel
[04/06/2008]
Today’s travellers want more than to just visit somewhere new, they want to discover destinations that meet all their needs, paying special attention to sustainability in tourist activities in the host country, both in terms of the social and the environmental. It is in this new context, where rigorous knowledge and information are vital for authentic journeys, that the UOC has set up its Travel programme.
Travel photography, exploring Mayan Mexico, discovering a bird’s-eye view of Egypt and
2.0 travel are some of the learning proposals included in the new Travel programme.
With guidance from expert travellers and authentic explorers, the UOC offers specific and
specialised training on destinations, countries and cultures from around the world and on
travelling itself, with a clear commitment to sustainability and the rigor of the
University’s educational model.
The UOC’s Travel programme allows you to discover, get to know, explore and work on the
main destinations and cultures from around the world comprehensively, going beyond the limited,
commercial point of view and knowledge that is available conventionally and independently, and
successfully facing up to the excess or lack of information, depending on the destination or
country in question. This journey is made with quality resources and materials, an innovative point
of view, technological resources, the support and point of reference offered by a team of expert
professionals and lecturers, and the University’s rigor, prestige and renown.
All the Travel programme’s courses are to start in July and last a month.
