The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC) is to launch an ideas competition open to everyone on Monday 23 April. It is to run for 17 weeks and is designed to catalyse creativity as an antidote to the crisis. The university is looking to support the values of talent and open collaboration in order to drive entrepreneurship and generate opportunities.

Two out of three graduates say that they have achieved success at work following completion of their studies at the UOC. This is one of the findings to be gleaned from the study entitled Use and Attitudes of UOC Graduates, produced with support from the Market Research and Analysis department. This study looks in depth at the knowledge and levels of satisfaction of the 27,500 students who have graduated from the UOC in the over fifteen years it has been in existence.
