The Professional Conference is linked to the Congress on Internet, Law and Politics, which is to be held for the third time this year with the aim of continuing the task of reflecting on, analysing and discussing the main changes taking place in law and politics in the information society. This third congress focuses on the questions that currently represent the most important challenges and new developments in the fields of copyright, data protection, internet security, problems of responsibility, electronic voting, and the new regulation of e-administration, as well as dedicating a specific area to the current state of the use of new technologies by law professionals. The 3rd IDP Congress looks to offer professionals, academics and those interested a forum for debate and information, whether scientific or practical, with regard to the new perspectives arising in these fields.
The Congress is promoted and organised by the Law and Political Science Studies department of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC, Open University of Catalonia) within the framework of the IN3 (Internet Interdisciplinary Institute), the institute that brings together all the research activity undertaken at the UOC and which focuses its activities principally on the study of the effects of information and communication technology on people, organisations and society in general.
