The Internet, Law and Politics Professional Conference started this year alongside the 3rd IDP Congress on Internet, Law and Politics is another step towards making the IDP Congress a platform to better familiarize professionals with the legal and practical aspects concerning the application of the law that regulates the use of information and communication technologies. The universal use of ICT within our society necessitates debate and discussion of the problems and specific realities of professional collectives.

Thus, we are inaugurating the First Professional IDP Conference, in this edition devoted to the Data Protection at Universities. This Professional Conference is addressed to all professionals and technicians who are responsible for data protection at universities, though it raises useful questions for the entire educational sector and counts on support from the Catalan Data Protection Agency (ACPD).

The conference stresses professionalism and aims to encourage reflection, debate and discussion on the specific realities and problems faced by this group.
