Selection process

The selection process of the candidacies presented will be led by the PhD Management in close collaboration with the Research Group coordinators. Finally, the body that will name the selected candidates and who, therefore, will join the PhD on the Information and Knowledge Society, will be the PhD Commission. The selection process will take into account the following criteria, and a personal interview (face-to-face or telephone) with the candidates may be necessary:

  • Academic, research and professional merits proven through their CV
  • Aptitude and the potential to develop the research
  • Adaptation of the research interests of the candidate to the research interests of the group to which they are submitting their candidacy
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Level of English

The number of places is limited. In the event that it is considered that there are no candidates qualified to take any of the places offered by a group, the places will be left unfilled.

Once the selection process has been completed, all the candidates will be informed about the decision in an e-mail sent to the address given on the application form.
