Jaume Claret Miranda (Barcelona, 1973) holds a PhD in History from the Jaume Vicens Vives University Institute of History of Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), a degree in Humanities from UPF and a degree in Communication Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

He is currently a lecturer in the Arts and Humanities Department of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC), where he coordinates subjects on prehistory and documentation. In terms of research, he is an expert in contemporary Spanish history (the Second Republic, the civil war, the Franco regime and the transition to democracy) and a member of GREF, a research group on the Franco era. He is also a temporary part-time lecturer in UPF’s Department of Humanities and works with the Editorial Crítica publishing house and the daily newspaper Ara.
