Since 2000, Josep Lladós has been a lecturer in Economics and Business Studies at the UOC. He
holds a PhD and is a graduate in Economics and Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona
and has a postgraduate diploma in Economics and Regional Tax Management from the same university.
Prior to this, he was associate lecturer at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, economic
analyst with the Studies Service at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and head of the Finance
Service of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area Community of Municipalities.
In 2004, he was appointed director of the UOC's Business Sciences Programme, a post that he held
until 2006. He is a researcher with the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3), where he
conducts research activities that are linked to innovation, entrepreneurship and business
competitiveness. In these fields related to the study of economic activity, he has published
articles, books and teaching materials, coordinated many research projects and has participated and
presented communications at numerous scientific conferences. He was also a member of the group of
experts who sat on the Catalan Regional Government's Competitiveness Panel.
