Marta Coll-Florit holds a PhD in the Information and Knowledge Society, with a specialisation in Applied Linguistics, from the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC), a master’s degree in Cognitive Science and Language (through completion of the relevant section of the corresponding PhD programme) and a degree in General Linguistics from the University of Barcelona (UB).

She is currently a linguistics lecturer in the UOC’s Arts and Humanities Department. In terms of research, she is an expert in cognitive linguistics, psycholinguistics and computational linguistics (semantic knowledge processing and representation). She is a member of the Linguistic Applications Inter-university Research Group (GRIAL, recognised as a consolidated research group by the Catalan government), and collaborates with the University of York’s Psycholinguistics Research Group. She has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Spanish Cognitive Linguistics Association (2008-2012).
