Roger Canadell (Sant Llorenç Savall, 1974) has a doctorate in Catalan Philology from the University of Barcelona, with the thesis entitled Josep Anselm Clavé i l’escriptura: obra poètica i periodisme cultural.

He has been a lecturer in the UOC Arts and Humanities Department (since 2002) on the Degree in Catalan Language and Literature and the Master’s Degree in Catalan Studies.  His research has focused on Catalan culture and literature of the 19th century (popular and Renaixença literature) and on the poetry of Miquel Martí i Pol, some of whose books and anthologies he has curated. He is member of the GELIV (1800s Catalan Literature Study Group) research group and the Verdaguer Society.
