Abstract:

This document synthetically compiles the principal ideas and proposals that emerged in the virtual debate "Where's the point in Philology? New literary and linguistic professions", which took place between 14th and 28th February 2003 as a continuation of the face-to-face conference day "New literary and linguistic professions", organized by Humanities and Philology Studies at the UOC. Participants' contributions, summarised and synthesized by the authors—and moderators of the debate—, are presented here, categorized under three major themes: "Philologies in crisis", "Graduate professionalization" and "Remodelling study plans".
