Degree in Medicine (MBBS) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Preventive Medicine and Public Health as well as in Medical Records Information System. Graduate in Hospital Management from the ESADE Business School. She has studied a Knowledge Management postgraduate course from the Catalan Institute of Technology of Barcelona.
After a clinical period in a Psychiatric Hospital and residency training in the Puigvert Foundation, she worked two years as assistant of the Medical Manager in the Mútua de Terrassa Hospital coordinating clinical services. She also worked nine years as Project Coordinator in the Catalan Health Service, Department of Health designing and implementing Waiting List and Emergency Public Programs, within other projects. In the last five years, she has been working on the creation and heading Information System Department in the Consorci Sanitari Integral, for the technology update of ten health centers, and SAP R3 Implementation.
Member of the Societat Catalana de Documentació, Hospital Certification Committee of the Department of Health of Catalonia (1992-99), Technical Assessment Commission of internal devices in the Interterritorial Board SNS of Ministerio de Sanidad y Consumo of Spain (1998), Scientific Committee of Waiting List in Catalonia (2000) and currently board member of Fòrum Català d'Informació i Salut.
