Data Exploitation Service
This is the descriptive layer

An information system to help take decisions at the University. The following characteristics are taken into account:

To be endowed with flexibility of analysis: different concepts and different work levels.

To allow a simple and quick use.

To share information.

To provide consistent and reliable information.

To integrate all the management information into a single business model.

To define the right exploitation tool for each of the different user profiles.

To create a system capable of subsequent growth.

The design of the data repository has passed through various stages from the requirement analysis and prioritisation to the introduction and start-up.

A Business Intelligence architecture has been chosen that allows for the integration of the information from its creation to its strategic management by the university's directors.

Likewise, an OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) tool is used, required to process the information. The UOC uses Oracle's Discoverer to analyse data and carry out enquiries. Moreover, levels of access have been established depending on each user's role.
