Hosted by the Campus for Peace at the UOC, the European Association for Renewable Energy will award the 2009 European Solar Prize on national and European levels to towns, municipal enterprises, individuals, engineers, architects, owners of renewable energy installations and also organisations for outstanding service rendered to the use of renewable energy.
By means of granting the European and National Solar Awards 2009, same as in previous editions, EUROSOLAR seeks to continue promoting renewal energy and launching a new impetus for its expansion. The aim of the award is to widely spread solar energy and mobilize the public to favor a pro-solar energy movement. The awards will be granted in different categories for innovative projects and initiatives relevant to the use of renewable energies.
The call for the 2010 Solar Awards is now open simultaneously in various European countries and are awarded by the different sections of EUROSOLAR that exist in each country.
